FALL FEST
For many, fall is the best season at hirundo! The leaves are a wondrous site to behold. Fall fest is a family-friendly event featuring various activities including guided, leaf-peeping paddle, kid's craft, and the wildly exciting Live Owl visit!
FULL MOON HIKES, SNOWSHOES, & PADDLE
Experiencing nature at night under the glow of the moon is like stepping into an entirely different world. Join us for our monthly foray's into the night where we explore wildlife, connect with the environment, and ogle at the man-on the moon, by foot, boat, or snowshoe, weather depending.
FORAGING WORKSHOPS
At our foraging workshops you will learn about Mother Nature's bounty; how, when, and what to sustainably harvest from Maine's woods, meadows, and waters. Eat and explore, a world beyond the grocery store.
PADDLES
Life is better on the water. We lead guided paddles at sunrise, sunset, and during full moon, offer paddling lessons for kids, and take to the water to enjoy leaf-peeping season in the fall. Some paddles are led in our 23' war-canoes, others in our individual kayaks & canoes (BYO if you prefer).
XMAS BIRD COUNT
Join us as we take part in the Audubon's Annual Christmas Bird Count, an event with more than a hundred years of tradition, one of the largest and longest citizen-science projects out there!
